About Me

Hi, I’m Krista.

Strategic communicator and storyteller.

I am the wife of a very talented musician who takes me around the world in pursuit of excellence. Mama to Jakob, Audrey and Ella, who just happens to have Down Syndrome.
And an aspiring disciple of Jesus, defender of the oppressed, writer, graphic designer and photographer.

I write and speak on navigating through the fog of life…you know, when things don’t go exactly as planned and am fuelled by a passion to amplify the voices of those on the margins…
oh, and coffee…lots of coffee.

If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I’m not too strict about it – I do my best to take fresh shots).

Potato Kale Soup with Chorizo Sausage:Sautee large onion and about 3 cloves of Garlic in 2 tbsp of Veg oilAdd about 250g of potatoes or 5 medium or 3 large potatoes and some salt. Water to cover.Boil potatoes until tender. Mash them up and use a hand blender (I just use a hand mixer because I don’t have a hand blender).Add enough water to create soup like consistency and lots of pepper and bring to boil.Add 225g of shredded curly Kale with stems removed, this will amount to about 2.5-3 cups packed and 115g of chopped Chorizo sausage. Bring back to boil and let simmer for about 5 more minutes.
