  • About Me

    Hi, I’m Krista.

    Strategic communicator and storyteller.

I am the wife of a very talented musician who takes me around the world in pursuit of excellence. Mama to Jakob, Audrey and Ella, who just happens to have Down Syndrome.
And an aspiring disciple of Jesus, defender of the oppressed, writer, graphic designer and photographer.

I write and speak on navigating through the fog of life…you know, when things don’t go exactly as planned and am fuelled by a passion to amplify the voices of those on the margins…
    oh, and coffee…lots of coffee.

Advent Readings

December 3, 2011

Believe it or not one of the most searched items that leads readers to my blog is Advent. I remember spending hours searching out readings and resources last year as there are surprisingly few publications on the internet….or even in the library so I thought that I would repost the Advent Readings I had prepared for last year and link up to some of the ideas that I had about how to incorporate my children in the experience of Advent.

These Advent readings were written for Prairie Tabernacle Congregation by Krista Ewert, Worship Arts Coordinator. They focus on the themes of Hope, Peace, Joy and Love and combine and emphasis on scripture with traditional prayers from the Book of Common Prayer as well as original writings.

Advent Readings 2010

My post on the first Sunday representing HOPE can be found here.

My post on PEACE can be found here.

Maybe next year I will finish the last two but until then, I hope you have a wonderful Advent season filled with abundant HOPE, PEACE, JOY and LOVE!
