    Hi, I’m Krista.

    Strategic communicator and storyteller.

I am the wife of a very talented musician who takes me around the world in pursuit of excellence. Mama to Jakob, Audrey and Ella, who just happens to have Down Syndrome.
And an aspiring disciple of Jesus, defender of the oppressed, writer, graphic designer and photographer.

I write and speak on navigating through the fog of life…you know, when things don’t go exactly as planned and am fuelled by a passion to amplify the voices of those on the margins…
    oh, and coffee…lots of coffee.

Halloween Highlights

November 2, 2015

01.02.2015.2
Have you ever seen a more beautiful Elsa…well, given that there were millions of them out on the streets this past Saturday, it could be possible but I doubt it. Then again, I am a little bit biased. I would argue that this year was one of the best Halloween’s yet. While I am not into decorating my home with ghosts and graveyards, I do admit that watching Ella go door to door is fully worth enduring the short season of haunted festivities. Ben went with Jakob so that he could trick-or-treat with his friends on the corner while Ben’s parents came with me to accompany Audrey the Elephant and Lil’ miss Elsa.

At each door she would insist that we do not come up the walk with her and refused to leave her Ukulele behind. Confidently, she would walk up to the door and exclaim, “Trick-or-Treat!” no matter whether there was someone there to receive her or not. After collecting her candy and giving a genuine “thank you” she would turn around  and enthusiastically say, “One more time!” You got it kiddo, one more time!
