  • About Me

    Hi, I’m Krista.

    Strategic communicator and storyteller.

I am the wife of a very talented musician who takes me around the world in pursuit of excellence. Mama to Jakob, Audrey and Ella, who just happens to have Down Syndrome.
And an aspiring disciple of Jesus, defender of the oppressed, writer, graphic designer and photographer.

I write and speak on navigating through the fog of life…you know, when things don’t go exactly as planned and am fuelled by a passion to amplify the voices of those on the margins…
    oh, and coffee…lots of coffee.

Meet Audrey

February 17, 2015
Dear friends,

We are so pleased to introduce you to the newest addition to the Ewert family,

Audrey Hannah Ewert
She was born February 10th, 2015 at 11:39pm.
She weighed six pounds, two ounces and was nineteen inches long.
Birth story to follow.
What’s in a name?

No, she isn’t named after Audrey Hepburn.
Nor was she named after St. Audrey, the East Anglian princess who founded a monastery in Ely; now the location of a breathtakingly beautiful cathedral (a favourite of Ben and I). However if we had to choose, we would pick the latter.
Simply, I love the name Audrey. I always have. For those who have visited this space for sometime will recall, it is what I named my camera.
The name Audrey means Noble Strength and I find it to be the perfect balance between beauty, femininity and strength. And Hannah means favour or grace of God. Which is precisely what she is –
An unexpected and undeserved gift of grace.
Aren’t baby yawns just the best?
