Hi, I’m Krista.

Strategic communicator and storyteller.

I am the wife of a very talented musician who takes me around the world in pursuit of excellence. Mama to Jakob, Audrey and Ella, who just happens to have Down Syndrome.
And an aspiring disciple of Jesus, defender of the oppressed, writer, graphic designer and photographer.

I write and speak on navigating through the fog of life…you know, when things don’t go exactly as planned and am fuelled by a passion to amplify the voices of those on the margins…
oh, and coffee…lots of coffee.

I would venture to say that the majority of people do not like to have their picture taken. This can be for various reasons: they feel awkward, they feel ugly, they think its vain. But this is one reason why I love photographing people. People are beautiful. Each and every one created in God’s image. Last weekend, I had the opportunity to photograph Stephanie. She said she didn’t like to have her picture taken but she needed a picture for the Dance school she teaches at. Yes, that’s right, not only is she beautiful but she is an amazing dancer. Steph, you are a natural.

Her little one even joined us. As we head into the weekend, remember not only that you were beautifully created but so were the people around you. Have a great weekend!
