    Hi, I’m Krista.

    Strategic communicator and storyteller.

    I am the wife of a very talented musician who takes me around the world in pursuit of excellence. Mama to Jakob, Audrey and Ella, who just happens to have Down Syndrome.
    And an aspiring disciple of Jesus, defender of the oppressed, writer, graphic designer and photographer.

    I write and speak on navigating through the fog of life…you know, when things don’t go exactly as planned and am fuelled by a passion to amplify the voices of those on the margins…
    oh, and coffee…lots of coffee.

Snow Day!

February 5, 2012

Last night it snowed in Cambridge. This would be the second time since we have been here but the first time that it stuck. As much as I had planned to stay in my pyjamas and slippers all day the little voice in my head said that I would regret it if this was the only day of the year Cambridge was frosted white and I didn’t get out to play or get some pictures….so with Ben off at King’s College, I packed up the kids by myself and headed into town. When we got there, I saw a few people with brand new red plastic sleds…I tracked them back to the source and let me tell you, it was the best £10 I ever spent. The city was buzzing! The snow seemed to lift everyone’s spirits: snowmen populated every, once green, space and there were impromptu snowball fights every time you turned a corner. Here are some highlights from our day….

and  then, she {snapped}
