Where is the best forum to ask questions about deeper issues: philosophical, theological, intellectual? I need some banter.
The first response pointed me to my friends...which is good advice, but like most momma's I am somewhat restricted to my social calendar and it is a good thing that not all of my friends like a good debate like myself, so I try not to impose it on them.
And the second and last of the comments whole heartedly agreed that banter is a needed thing.

So at risk of being shot down or creating another cyberwasteland I am going to give this a try.

I am always up for banter...ha ha:) And I guess unlike you I have less consideration for my friends because I often have those conversations with them...I would die without that banter. Philip and I are similar that way so our conversations are most often philosophical ( as well as my best friend) so I get my fill I guess but I always crave more so we host groups in our home to tackle open minded banter and continuing conversation...the only people I can't talk to are he ones who have all the set answers and "right answers" already...then what is the point of banter? and lovely questions? and answers that may require a change of mind? LOVE IT! I suppose it makes me awkward too in a way because I can't talk lightly...I need to delve in with something like, "So what are your thoughts on (pick any deep or unanswerable topic here) and why would you choose that topic?"
I need my friends to feed my intellect and push my towards philosophical and spiritual and profound thinking ...otherwise I get unbearable bored or frustrated...
I hope you find a place but if not...well it could get fiery but I am available:) ha:)

Oh my...next time I need to read over my comment from my iphone before pressing print...I've counted five mistakes thus far!:)
I linked the link in my last post - I think you would like that...anyway I did not realize you even had another link until my third read through as I thought you could not possibly be leaving it at that! Glad I found what was missing. ha ha:)
