Well this year, not only did we meet the goal of raising $1000 but Jakob's forever family found him because of the Angel Tree and it is my pleasure to introduce them to you. Ron and Shana already have four biological children and are followers of Jesus so when they heard God calling them to adopt a child with special needs, they followed.
Please check out their blog here.
You can also see their Reece's Rainbow Sponsor page where you can donate directly to their adoption which will cost around $40,000.
"Prayers for funds are our biggest concern right now. We have full faith that God will provide but it is truly scary. We are truly blessed with my husbands income but with 4 children (1 in college) it will be a stretch. :) But every sacrifice brings great reward and we know that is what Jakob will be! We love him dearly already and cannot wait to bring him home. In fact, today, Logan (our 9 year old son) told me that in school today they were doing a project and filling in hearts about their family. He asked his teacher if he could fill in a heart for his younger brother even though he isn't home yet. Melted my heart right there in the van.... God is good and He is faithful."
Please pray for this family as they prepare for a new addition. Pray for their biological children as they open their hearts to this angel and see the example that their parents are setting in being obedient to the will of God. Pray that the finances will come in and please pray for little Jakob and his caregivers. Many of these children are in orphanages because disabilities are looked down upon in Eastern Europe but also because, for many parents, they have no choice due to the mere cost of raising a child with disabilities. North American families can provide the care they otherwise could not in other parts of the world.
Thank you to all who donated to little Jakob this Christmas season. I hope you read this and are DEEPLY encouraged!
And thank you Ron and Shana for answering the call.

Truly Beautiful.
You are too sweet, my friend. Thank you so much...maybe someday I'll be able to give you a real hug but until then... (((hug))) a virtual one will have to do. Only God can bring things like this together. You are an amazing blessing...
Thank you for doing such an amazing job as Jakob's Christmas warrior!! I'm praying that the funds come in for them and that this adoption moves quickly! God is good and He is faithful!
